As a reminder, the fortress is subject to an exemption from accessibility rules for the following reason: Constraints linked to the conservation of architectural heritage.

Bicycle access:
The Montbazon Fortress has been awarded the Accueil Vélo (Cycle Welcome) label. Two bicycle parking areas are available (one in front of the site and one inside the fortress).
As a reminder, the Indre passes at the foot of the fortress, we are on the Cyclo Bohème route which you can find here!

Weekends and public holidays in April, May, June and September: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry at 5 p.m.)
Every days of July and August : from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last entry at 6 PM)

French Guided tour

- 10:45 AM - 12:30 AM - 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM (duration : approximately 01h).
​
English Translation : Only with a free audio guide, available in the ticketing shop and in front of the tavern (you scan a QR Code with your mobile phone with "Wivisites").

NB : guided tours are included in the entry price.
Underground: access only with the guide during the visit (bring a jacket to avoid 14 degrees)

Workshops and activities
​
Access to the various workshops is free during all day long (animators can be on a lunch break or preparing for their workshop and close their workshop).

3:45 PM : a French skecth about the Middle Age's hygiene or knight's dub (inquire at the ticketing shop).

Reduced price (group of 20 people, job seekers, people with disabilities, students, on presentation of proof) : 11 €
Free : Child under 5 years old, Montbazon inhabitants (with proof).
